Musical Movers
Ages 18 months-5 years
Musical Movers welcomes every child exactly as they are — whether they're front and centre with the drums or happily watching and listening from a grown-up's lap. Each term follows its own musical story world, with puppets, characters and themes that spark imagination and take children on a new adventure every week. It's the perfect place for growing confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of music through play.
Termly themes
Each term consists of its own theme, so that your child has something new to anticipate with each coming week, while seeing familiar puppets that become firm friends and exploring songs that grow and develop over the term.
Social and emotional development
Educational moments are tucked into every session. Together we will learn how to share and take turns, whether it’s passing the rainstick around the room or waiting for your time to take a finger puppet out of the bag. And when it’s time to put everything away till the following week, we have a special song for that of course.
Active music making
High quality percussion and instruments are always fun to explore, and we aim for a balance of child led music making and singing, with free percussion play as well as responding to musical cues, bouncing a toy to the beat, singing or saying a response in a call and answer song. Grown-ups get to connect with their child through collaboration and playing musically together.
